About Ms. Bradley-Garcia

Ms. MEENA BRADLEY-GARCIA

Authorized for Supervised Practice under Dr. Stephanie Leon (Fall 2026)

My name is Meenakshie Bradley-Garcia, but you can call me Meena. Life is complicated enough, so let’s make this part a little easier! I use she/her pronouns.

I am currently completing my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa and will graduate in Fall 2026. Following graduation, I will begin supervised practice under the supervision of Dr. Stephanie Leon. Throughout my training, I have gained experience conducting psychoeducational, psychodiagnostic, and neuropsychological assessments, as well as providing evidence-based therapy across a variety of settings, including private practice, community mental health clinics, and hospitals throughout Ontario. Prior to my doctoral training, I completed a Master’s degree in Counselling at the University of Ottawa, where I worked as a crisis counsellor with an Employee Assistance Program and provided psychotherapy to patients in psychiatric and medical hospital units.

Alongside my clinical work, I have remained actively involved in research. My doctoral dissertation examines the effects of chemotherapy on episodic memory and mental health in breast cancer survivors, deepening my interest in the relationship between physical health, mental health, and cognitive functioning. I also continue to contribute to several research projects, including my role as a Research Coordinator at the CHEO Research Institute. These experiences reinforce my commitment to providing evidence-based care while recognizing the unique experiences and strengths each individual
brings.

My clinical and research experiences have shaped my passion for supporting children and adolescents as they navigate emotional, behavioural, cognitive, and developmental challenges. Because young people thrive within the context of their relationships, I work collaboratively with parents and caregivers to foster meaningful and lasting change. I believe effective therapy begins with a thoughtful assessment to understand each person’s strengths, challenges, and goals. Together, we use this understanding to
collaboratively develop a treatment plan tailored to the unique needs of each child, adolescent, and family—because there is no one-size-fits-all approach in psychology.
